
Stanley Head is an Outdoor Education Centre based in the Staffordshire Moorlands on the edge of the stunning Peak District. It is ideally located to provide a wide range of educational, challenging and adventurous activities. We’ve been the centre of choice for many schools and groups for almost 40 years, so have a wealth of experience to help make your visit a success.
We have the flexibility to ensure that your visit or stay with us meets your requirements exactly if you are visiting for a morning or staying with us for a whole week. Whether you are bringing a school group for an environmental study or you’re a hen or stag party looking for a weekend with a difference, you will have a fun and rewarding time with us. Click here to download the 2012 Adult training course brochure. THis year's programme includes governing body courses such as Mountain Leader, Single Pitch Award and Walking Group Leader. Also on offer are a range of introductory courses in climbing, caving, mountain biking, bushcraft, sailing, and mountain walking and navigation. Places are limtied so don't delay in booking your place. DEVELOPMENT UPDATE Stanley Head Outdoor Education Centre's new Dining Room and Kitchen is completed!! The new building is entirely heated by Ground Source Heating Pumps and the water is warmed using Solar Power, in line with our commitment to reduce Stanley Head's carbon footprint. The Centre's two large classrooms have also been replaced. They were brought to the Centre over thirty years ago as a temporary measure so they have certainly served us well. The new classrooms have a similar layout but include a small meeting room and toilets. For more information on the classroom and dining room development, have a look at our Latest News page.
