As an outdoor education provider we are registered with the Adventurous Activities Licensing Sevice  (AALS) who have inspected our facility, equipment, instructors and operating procedures and concluded that we provide a safe environment in which children and adults can participate in adventurous activities. Our current license is valid until February 2012 and our registration number is R0149/L8506.

For more information on AALA or to verify our registration, you can log on to www.aals.org.uk.

As a local authority centre we comply with all Stoke-on-Trent City Council Health and Safety procedures and have a full set of risk assessments and operational procedures. Click on the links below to view these documents.

 Risk Assessments

We understand that, by definition, there is an element of risk in adventurous activities. However, we have an excellent safety record by managing the risks through a number of measures. At the same time, we still ensure that participants get full enjoyment out of the session and importantly, still feel that sense of danger – after all – even with a rope, harness and instructor – 30 feet up in the trees is still a long way up!

We are also accredited by a number of national governing bodies who have inspected the centre to ensure that our sessions are delivered in a safe manner.
