Just a quick message to let you know that Stanley Head is still open for business for both day visits and residential groups.
We have a full and robust risk assessment in place for Covid-19 and are receiving regular updates from the LA and bodies such as Government, DfE and Public Health England. The DfE are 'not currently advising against domestic trips', but do recommend that schools review their risk assessments, which Stanley Head can support you with.
An exciting opportunity has just arisen for an Instructor to join our team for the summer (from Easter through to October half term)!
This will be a fixed term full-time position (37 hrs/week) and we'll need someone with prior experience of delivering activities such as archery, climbing, crate stacking etc. NGBs not essential except for a British Canoeing (or BCU) Level 1 or above, as we have a large lake on site. Any water qualification must be backed up with practical experience with groups on...

It's a part-time post (24 hrs, Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and the postholder will be responsible for opening and locking up the site, basic maintenance and housekeeping duties, minibus care and driving, and looking after our small collection of chickens and ducks.
We've got some exciting new additions to the team - four Leicester Longwool boys, already settled into our meadow. They're very friendly and relaxed and looking forward to meeting all our young guests in the coming months.
It's great to be working in partnership with a local farm, helping to teach children about farming, keeping livestock and of course, where food really comes from (but not in front of the sheep...) #farmtofork!
